New HBO Fantasy Series "American Gods" in Development

HBO has acquired the rights to Neil Gaiman’s Hugo and Stoker Award-winning New York Times bestseller American Gods for development as a fantasy series. Academy Award-winning cinematographer Robert Richardson – who will co-write the series pilot with Gaiman – brought the novel to the attention of Tom Hanks & Gary Goetzman’s Playtone (Big Love, The Pacific, John Adams), who in turn brought it to HBO. New Superman film will be titled "Man of Steel"

Warner Bros. announced April 10 via a press release that director Zack Snyder’s new Superman film will be titled Man of Steel, and that Superman, played by Henry Cavill, will be going up against General Zod, this time portrayed by actor Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road, Boardwalk Empire).
The main cast also includes Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as Martha and Jonathan Kent. Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Deborah Snyder are the producers of the film. The screenplay is being written by David S. Goyer based on a story by Goyer and Nolan. Thomas Tull and Lloyd Phillips are serving as executive producers.
