The unveiling of Wonder Woman’s latest costume garnered international news coverage in diverse outlets like The New York Times, TheWashington Post, CNN and NPR. Now, DC Direct offers a three-dimensional keepsake of the historic wardrobe change with the limited edition Wonder Woman #600 Statue. When J. Michael Straczynski was asked to write Wonder Woman, he told DC “If you’re going to make a statement about bringing Wonder Woman into the 21st century, you need to be bold and you need to make it visual. I wanted to toughen her up, and give her a modern sensibility.” Thus, the iconic heroine‘s new fighting togs are more contemporary, functional, and darker in color as designed by DC Comics Co-Publisher Jim Lee. The handpainted, cold-cast porcelain statue, based on the Wonder Woman #600 Variant Cover art of Don Kramer and sculpted by Jack Mathews, reflects this dramatic shift in a stunning piece measuring approximately 9.75” H x 4.75” W x 3.75” D. The statue is advance-solicited to ship in a four-color box on May 4.
