An original television series for HBO based on New York Times bestselling author George R.R. Martin's epic fantasy series, A Song of Ice and Fire and starring Sean Bean (The Lord of the Rings) and Lena Headey (300), Game of Thrones started filming in Belfast on July 26th and will premiere in Spring 2011. HBO premiered a new teaser trailer and featurette for the upcoming series immediately before the third season finale of True Blood on September 12, reaching a vast audience ripe for fantasy and the products carried by specialty stores.
